Taka will be sorely missed by so many. Tonight, we had to put him down. It was a shock, we took him to the vet Tuesday and discovered cancer, in his bone of his leg. We knew he had not been the same playful pup for a while, but never imagined this. For the past 2 nights he had an awesome life, car rides, beef jerky, walked Sara & Joe to the bus, even chased an ambulance. Many, many neighbors came to say good bye to our great protector. He loved the kids, and always looked out for them. Never left the yard unless we took him for a walk, which he got sooo excited about. Tonight, we took him for his last walk.
We buried him in his yard, the yard he protected so proudly. He will continue to protect us, and we know that he did not suffer.

Rest in Peace, Taka. I know you are in dog heaven with Chrissey.
So Sorry....been there.. done that.. It is never easy to lose a pet that has been part of your family for so long.
He was special....and I know how hard it is...but you can't let them suffer in pain.
